The Outta Space is an all-inclusive outta-the-ordinary bar, live music venue, and art gallery. Operational for the past 8years , unfortunately we permanently closed our doors in January 2025. A variety of events were offered monthly, which include live music, art shows, and collaborations with community groups. The Outta Space was also available for rental for private events. Our mission is to provide a welcoming, safe, positive, and diverse space for all, to propel the creative arts, and to build a supportive and strong community. CODY LEE & THE LAST DETAIL Sometime during the summer of 2021, through the vision of Monsieur Brendan Cawley, the band know as Cody Lee's Last Detail, came together in the glorious city of Chicago. Featuring the talents of aforementioned Brendan on Fender Bass, Caleb Ramos revealing the mysteries of the guitar, Larry, "ain't no beat, I can't beat" Beers on the drums, and songwriter Cody Lee on guitar & lead vocals. It was a match made in heaven. Bringing together the disparate influences of the last 60 years of music, a true ability to listen to each other when they play, and a behind human, desire to bring forth Cody's songs(as well as, young Messrs. Cawley & Ramos), this is the the band the Illinois Music Monthly just wrote "The Chicago band to watch in 2021/2022.

JAZZ FANS!!! Join us every first Wednesday at The inspiring and intimate OUTTA SPACE in Berwyn, IL! The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band was formed in 2006 and since then has performed at clubs and concert halls including; FitzGerald's (Berwyn, IL), Chicago's Millennium Park, 2007 Chicago Jazz Festival, 2007 Fox Jazz Fest (Menasha, WI), 2008 Jazz Fest Glenn Ellyn, 2008 Evanston Jazz Festival, McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage with guest vocalist Judi Silvano, and at Joe and Wayne Segal’s Jazz Showcase, where they recorded a live concert, Live at the Jazz Showcase. Founded and led by baritone saxophonist, composer, and arranger Ted Hogarth, and co-led by bassist Joe Policastro, The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band is comprised of some of Chicago’s top musicians and educators. All members of The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band are nationally or internationally recognized. Part of our mission is to preserve and perform music written by Gerry Mulligan, Johnny Mandel, Bob Brookmeyer, and other great composers and arrangers, as well as to commission new compositions and arrangements for this unique 13-piece big band.
