The Outta Space, 6840 32nd St., Berwyn

ROD PICOTT http://rodpicott.com/ Seventeen years ago Rod Picott dropped his tool belt, picked up an acoustic guitar and released his first album Tiger Tom Dixon’s Blues. The acclaimed debut put a nail in the coffin of his construction career and ignited his second career as a singer-songwriter. With his new album, Out Past The Wires, that second career reveals itself in full flame! “mesmerizing” - Rolling Stone.com “songs like Raymond Carver short stories” - Houston Chronicle “proves once again he’s a ringmaster at turning misery into art” - Boston Globe “carefully crafted and vibrant” - American Songwriter “perfectly crafted” - NewsHub “it’s the songwriting that really makes the difference” - The Bluegrass Situation “a truly great songwriter” - 3rd Coast Music “poignant, blatantly honest and emotive” - The Boot “seriously gifted” - No Depression

BROCK ZEMAN http://www.brockzeman.com/ When it comes to storytelling, Brock Zeman is a master craftsman. The Canada-based singer-songwriter has spent the past 12 years carving and chiseling Americana soundscapes, drawing from roots-rock and alternative country. But what separates Zeman from his contemporaries isn’t a willingness to speak truth – it’s his unwillingness to conform to the rules of Nashville and the traditional framework of genre. What gives Zeman’s stories force isn’t that he’s just singing a narrative – he’s living it. BLAIR HOGAN With a huge sonic pallet at his fingertips (and feet), and an ever expanding collection of old amps and guitars, the right sound for any gig is always achieved.

Hogan has spent the better part of the last decade as touring guitarist for award winning singer/songwriter Brock Zeman (Busted Flat Records), as well as playing guitars, bass, mandolin and keys on many of his twelve albums. When he’s not on the road with Zeman, Hogan does session work in studios all over the city, and plays rock and roll with Ottawa favourites Silver Creek.
